· Caño Negro

See birds, monkeys, and lizards in their natural habitat on a relaxing boat tour of the Caño Negro National Wildlife Refuget. Geovani points out bats hanging in a row, Jesus Christ lizards bounding across the water, caymans, spider or white-faced monkeys, and colorful birds like the roseate spoonbill, green kingfisher, or snowy egret. At midday, you’ll stop in the middle of the river, tie up to a branch, and enjoy a delicious lunch of typical Costa Rican food and fruit (vegetarian options available).

Tour leaves La Fortuna at 6 am with a 120 km drive to Los Chiles (near the Nicaraguan border). Boat tour lasts three hours. Return to La Fortuna at 3 pm. Suitable for children or people with disabilities.
